Można utworzyć zdania w stronie biernej za pomocą czasowników raportujących w następujący sposób: 

• believe, claim, report, say  

It + passive + that, np. It is often said that money cannot make us happy. 

• know, consider  

subject (podmiot) + passive + to do something, np. Black cats are considered to bring bad luck. 

• think, know  

subject + passive + to have done something, np. She is known to have changed this industry. 

• believe, say, think  

subject + passive + to be doing something, np. They are said to be supporting many charities.
