Uwaga!

Spójniki pełnią funkcję łączników zdań lub ich części i dzięki nim możemy poinformować o czasie, rezultacie lub przyczynie czegoś oraz wyrazić warunek, przypuszczenie, kontrast, itp.

Spójniki podrzędne łączą zdania nadrzędne z podrzędnymi. Używamy ich, by pokazać relacje między tymi dwoma zdaniami. Są to, m.in.: even though (pomimo że; chociaż), in case (na wypadek, gdyby; w razie, gdyby), as if (jakby, jak gdyby), whereas (podczas gdy), supposing (zakładając, że; jeżeli), provided that (pod warunkiem że), on condition that (pod warunkiem że).
