W obu częściach zerowego trybu warunkowego występuje czas Present simple:

(Warunek:) If + Present simple,
(Rezultat:) Present simple.

W czasie Present simple czasownik ma formę podstawową we wszystkich osobach oprócz 3. osoby liczby pojedynczej. W tej osobie (he/she/it) czasownik ma końcówkę -s.
