Wouldn’t it be great to make $100 million a year simply by doing sports? Many professional
athletes certainly think so. But do they really deserve all that money?
To my mind, absolutely not. The money you receive should be relative to the importance of
your job and its value to society. Yet, 8.1. ____________________ to statistics, nurses are paid
considerably less than professional athletes. Police officers, firefighters, and rescue teams
